This regulatory document was approved by the "Ministry of installation and special construction works" of the USSR on March 6, 1986. and set the date for establishment on January 1, 1987.

This standard applies to steel process pipelines with nominal pressure to 250 MPa (2500 kgs / cm2) and establishes a typical process for heat treatment of welded pipe joints for transporting liquids and gas with different physical and chemical properties, including process pipelines.

The standard does not apply to trunk pipelines, steam and hot water pipelines, as well as pipelines transporting oxygen.

Although this regulatory document exists since the times of the Soviet Union and still its status is “Undefined”. This means that if your field of activity coincides with the field of application of this industry standard then you can use it.
